Filler & Injection FAQ

How long do injectable treatments take?

Most injectable treatments take between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the areas treated. Many patients choose to schedule treatments during a lunch break and return to normal activities the same day.

How long do Botox® and neuromodulators last?

Results from neuromodulators such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Daxxify® typically last 3 to 4 months, with some longer-lasting options extending beyond that. Regular maintenance treatments help preserve results.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Dermal filler results can last anywhere from 6 months to over a year, depending on the product used and the treatment area. Some collagen-stimulating treatments, like Sculptra®, can last even longer.

Who is a good candidate for injectables?

Most healthy adults are good candidates for injectable treatments, but certain medical factors must be considered before proceeding. Generally speaking, you may be a good candidate if you are in overall good health and do not have active skin infections or irritation in the treatment area.

However, injectable treatments are not recommended for individuals who:

— Are pregnant or breastfeeding
— Have certain neurological or neuromuscular conditions
— Have known allergies to any ingredients in the injectable products

Additionally, some medications and supplements, such as blood thinners, may increase the risk of bruising and should be discussed during your consultation. A thorough consultation is essential to review your medical history, current medications, and treatment goals to ensure injectables are both safe and appropriate for you.

Is there any downtime after treatment?

Injectables require little to no downtime. You may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, but these effects typically resolve within a few days.

How long does it take to see results?

The timeline to results generally depends on the treatment received. Our experience has shown that results from neuromodulator treatments begin to appear within a few days, with full results in about 1–2 weeks. Dermal fillers on the other hand often show visible results visible immediately, with continued improvement as swelling subsides. For PRF/Sculptra® treatments, results develop gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases.
