What to Expect from JUVÉDERM Procedure (Step by Step)
Here is what to expect from your JUVÉDERM treatment at our practice, from initial consultation to recovery and results.
You’ll meet with Dr. Lewis at our Midlothian, VA office to discuss your goals. For JUVÉDERM treatments, you may also consult with Nurse Practitioner Paige Huffman. We will evaluate your facial structure, recommend the right filler, and provide a clear, written price quote.
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. All JUVÉDERM fillers also contain lidocaine to minimize discomfort during injection.
We carefully inject the filler into the target areas using a fine needle or cannula. Most treatments are completed in under an hour.
Most resume normal activities immediately. For the first 24 to 48 hours avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, sun exposure, and alcohol. Avoid touching or massaging the treated area unless instructed.
Results are visible immediately, though mild swelling or bruising may take a few days to resolve. JUVÉDERM XC results last up to 1 year, while JUVÉDERM VOLUMA XC results last up to 2 years. We’ll recommend a follow-up schedule to maintain your results.
