Signature Facial & Chemical Peel
We customize Signature Facial treatments at our med spa in Richmond, VA, to best suit the needs of your skin type, combining essential nutrients, a chemical peel, and gentle massage to produce a glowing, healthy complexion. Most of our patients make the Signature Facial a part of the regular skin care regimen.
Our signature treatment will begin with the facial. While the ingredients of each facial will vary based on patient needs, the results will be the same. During this step, your face, neck, and décolleté will be thoroughly cleansed to remove excess dirt and oil; a toner will then be applied to balance the skin’s pH levels.
The next step of this treatment is to apply a customized peel; this will exfoliate the skin and promote healthy skin growth. Each peel is different and our esthetician will go through them with you before application.
Following the peel and if needed, extractions are performed to remove blackheads, whiteheads, or pimples from the face.
A combination of vitamins, growth factors, and antioxidants are then applied to the face followed by an alginate mask to seal in and infuse these ingredients with the skin. Vitamins, growth factors, and antioxidants all help promote healthy and beautiful skin, the deeper these ingredients penetrate the skin the better the results.
The last step to this treatment is lymphatic drainage. This is a gentle massage of your face, the rhythmic motions will help to release toxins from the skin and encourage the natural drainage of adjacent lymph nodes. Lymphatic drainage helps to promote the overall health of your skin and fluid retention.
Treatment & Results
This facial and chemical peel combination will make your skin look smoother and younger by removing the damaged outer layers of your skin and promoting new skin growth to improve surface texture and appearance. This treatment targets conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration, loss of elasticity, and even scarring.
After most peels, the skin will be pink to red, and look shiny and tight. For the first 48 hours after the treatment, it is vital to apply sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher and avoid standing in direct sunlight for long periods of time. After this treatment, your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays and could be damaged by sun exposure, causing hyperpigmentation—or dark spots—on the skin.
Within 2-3 days after the treatment, your skin may begin to flake or peel; this is your skin purging toxins and is a normal effect.
To maximize results of this treatment, we recommend that you begin to use an at-home skincare regimen made of high-quality medical-grade products. During your consultation, our esthetician will go over which products will suit your skin type the best.

Best results are achieved when treatments are done in a series of six, once every other week. This course of treatment will take approximately 3 months.
All of our peels are epidermal peels, and a series of six treatments combined with a proper at-home skincare regimen can produce the same results as a deep chemical peel. Unlike a deep peel, an epidermal peel does not involve the risk of increased hyperpigmentation, downtime, pain, or discomfort.
Best results are achieved when it is done in a series of 6 treatments every other week. This course of treatment is approximately 3 months.
